Using Your Extension

Learn how to make the most of your ConsumerFi Dashboard Extension.

How to Submit Content

Find valuable content while browsing the web. When you discover text worth saving - whether it's an insightful article, useful information, or personal interest - simply copy it. Click the ConsumerFi icon in your toolbar to open the extension. Paste your content into the text area. The extension automatically captures the source URL. Submit your content and receive instant feedback. You'll see a quality score from 0-100 and earn Compute Credits based on the value of your submission.

Understanding Quality Scores

Your content is scored based on its value for building your personal digital DNA. Higher scores are awarded for content that reveals your interests, goals, and preferences, provides insights about your activities and behaviors, or contains information about events, products, or topics you care about. The better the content helps us understand who you are and what matters to you, the higher your score.

Daily Limits and Progress

To encourage quality over quantity, there's a daily submission limit. You can track your progress in the extension dashboard. Your remaining submissions and reset time are clearly displayed. The limit resets every 24 hours, giving you a fresh start each day.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Solutions to the most frequently encountered problems.

"Please sign in to ConsumerFi" Message

This is the most common issue users face. The extension requires an active session on consumerfi.ai. Solution: Go to consumerfi.ai and sign in. Ensure you're fully logged in (check for your username in the top right). Keep the ConsumerFi tab open. Click the extension icon again - it should now work. If the problem persists, try clearing your browser cache for consumerfi.ai, sign out completely, then sign in again.

Extension Icon is Grayed Out

The extension cannot run on certain pages for security reasons. This includes the Chrome Web Store, Chrome system pages (chrome://), and some restricted websites. Solution: Navigate to any regular website and the extension icon should become active.

Content Won't Submit

There are a few requirements for successful submission. Content must be between 50 and 2,500 characters. You need an active internet connection. You must not have exceeded your daily submission limit. Solution: Check your content length (displayed in the extension). Verify your internet connection. Check your daily submission count. If at limit, wait for the reset time shown.

Credits Not Showing or Updating

Credits may take a moment to process and display. Solution: Wait 5-10 seconds after submission. Click away from the extension and reopen it. If credits still don't appear, check if the submission was successful (you should see a success message).

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about the ConsumerFi Dashboard Extension.

About Compute Credits

What are Compute Credits? Compute Credits are points you earn for contributing valuable content. They represent the value of your contributions to your personal digital DNA. How can I use my credits? Credits unlock advanced features on the ConsumerFi platform, including enhanced AI interactions, priority processing, and access to premium tools. How are credits calculated? Credits are based on content quality scores. Higher quality content that better represents your interests and personality earns more credits.

About Content Scoring

What makes content score higher? Content scores higher when it clearly reflects your personal interests, goals, or preferences. Information about your activities, hobbies, or professional interests scores well. Content about events, products, or services you're interested in also receives good scores. Why did my content score low? Generic content without personal relevance scores lower. Very short snippets may lack context. Content that doesn't help build your digital DNA profile won't score as high. Can I resubmit content? Duplicate content submitted within 24 hours will be detected and won't earn additional credits.
